NEW BRUNSWICK - 1992

Following an enjoyable night's sleep at the Journey's End Motel in Campbellton, New Brunswick, on Sunday, August 16, we headed for Moncton's East Journey's End Motel and had dinner at the Fish Factory. After another good rest and an early breakfast on Tuesday morning, we travelled to the Magnetic Hill where an optical illusion convinces you that the car is going uphill in neutral after the brake is released. The skies were overcast as we made our way to the southernmost location of our stay in New Brunswick . . . the Fundy National Park. The drive through the forest was both picturesque and peaceful, and the tide was still out when we arrived in Alma on the shore of the Bay of Fundy. (See the photo with the title above.)

Time was on our side as we drove to the Hopewell Provincial Park. We were able to descend the stairs to the beach where the water had carved the rocks into amazing patterns.

We left as the tide began to come in, and that gave us plenty of time to reach our next destination . . . Truro, Nova Scotia, at the end of Cobequid Bay on the Salmon River for dinner on the evening of Tuesday, August 18.
