The Great Australian Clock, installed in the Queen Victoria Building in June of 2000, is the largest hanging animated turret clock in the world. It weighs 4 tonnes, is 10 metres tall, and has 33 picture scenes (15 of them animated). Decorated with 23 carat gold and 23 carat gold leaf, it cost over 1.5 million dollars.
