For those who thought that I had run out of peeves back in 1999, think again. There are plenty to go around, and I am quite willing to share a few. Back in 1999, many of us were dreaming of a peaceful, problem-free millennium. Dream on! Some rotten apple always finds a way to upset the applecart.

SOME PEEVES FOR 2016

Aye, 2016 is beginning to record some sloppy habits in garbage collection. The green bin has already been tossed about so frequently that it cannot be closed properly as a deterent to the pesky racoons in our neighbourhood. My neighbours say that the city is planning to introduce a new bin, but I would note that such a plan is a waste of taxpayers' money under the current situation. For several weeks, our green bin has either been tossed or it has been left on the street for cars to dodge. Since we are halfway through the year 2016, I decided to take a short movie which would illustrate my complaint. You will note that my green bin was left on the street over 12 inches (30 cm) from the curb, and my neighbour's bin was roughly tossed to the ground. Perhaps it is time for our City Council to consider a private collector.
