OUR ARCHIVED VISITORS GUESTBOOK

My Drop-in Centre

Thank you for visiting my Website and adding your comments to my original guestbook! Comments from visitors were archived a few months after the second anniversary of the website due to the increased amount of SPAM. The privacy of our visitors has also been respected in the process.

Euan Brownhill - Brisbane, Queensland, AU - Glad you could make it without getting lost in the maze.
Maggie Notellin - Glasgow, Scotland - Yer website, "Oor Wee Hoose", 'tis nae bad, hen!

Spring of 2000
Mhairi MacRae - Aberdeen, Scotland - Sonas agus beartas. Slainte mhòr agad!
Jennifer Ross-Holton - Clinton, Ontario, CA - Now you know your ggm's name. Good luck in your photo hunt and search for other details.
Fern Ross-Brazeau - Whitby, Ontario, CA - Frank, Alexander and Daniel (Donald) are certainly good Ross names. We would need a specific geographical connection as well.
Owen Ross - Newton, Iowa, USA - Your ancestors don't likely make a geographical tie in. [Sorry, the manuscript of "Our Ross Family Story" is a limited edition, but I'll send you two libraries in the USA where you may find copies.]
Ryan Andrew Ross - San Diego, California, USA - It seems as though your ancestors immigrated a wee bit later than the ones in my story, but the recent messages in our guestbook have suggested another project. Perhaps a page could be developed to include suggestions for "amateur genealogists".
Jay Smith - Malakoff, Texas, USA - I hope that you come prepared for your next visit. I enjoyed the humour in both email contacts as well. Jay MacSmith sounds like a great name to adopt. Good luck with your clan search.

Happy First Anniversary to the Site - April, 2000

Stumbled upon your site while looking for history of the clan in Scotland. Interesting to see some history of the name outside Scotland.

I found this site while looking for information on the Anderson clan (my paternal great-great grandmother came to NH directly from Scotland). I read that Anderson is part of the Ross clan. Nice website. I love the pictures.

Enjoyed your site. This past year I discovered more about my Alexander Ross ancestor. He was similar in age to yours and came from Dornoch. He was in the British army from 1806 to 1820. At some later date he and the familt emigrated to Eldon Township, Ontario. Around 1864(Alexander's death) the family moved to Charlevoix, Michigan. There was another Alexander Ross family that moved there about the same time from Canada that we don't know if they are related. My great great grandfather moved to Duluth and then to the shores of Lake Minnetonka west of Minneapolis, where we are today.
