SIGNING IN CRA-CANADA NEWS FAMILY UPDATES

Families sign in and receive their ribbons with name tags. The Clan Ross Association of Canada advertizes an important event for Ontario in 2006. The "ROSS-TER" receives a family update for its pages . . . as well as providing material for the next newsletter by email.

REUNION GOSSIP SPELL HONORARY

A SHADY GROUP CATCHING UP ON THE NEWS

While the Sports Committee (Glen Ross and Family) sets up the games, and the Lunch Committee (Betty Small and Kim Trafford) sets out the food, family members take care of the first item on the agenda . . . lots of chat.

OFF TO THE RACES THREE-LEGGED RACE

WATER BALLOON TOSS CANDY HUNT

Everyone enjoys the sports activities . . . the foot race, the one-minute race, the three-legged race, the water balloon toss, the candy hunt. Everyone has a chance at a prize. Guess the number of marbles in a jar. Be the oldest person in attendance. Who came the greatest distance?

Storm warnings may have scared some families away, but those in attendance made the 75th Annual Ross Family Reunion a spirited event. [An Air France plane crashed at Pearson International Airport a short time after we drove past along the 401 on our way home on the day after the reunion.]

Our special thanks go to my wife Pat for being the official photographer once more. [She has taken many of the photographs for the CRA-Canada website.]

We also applaud Jessie Ross for putting in an appearance . . . even though she had another event to attend; Jessie earned the insert at the lower right corner. Our thoughts are with those who were unable to attend . . . or who couldn't be reached by email. Please share this message.

CENTRE TABLE HELP YOURSELF

READY TO EAT HEARTY APPETITES

Everybody brings a hearty appetite to the reunion luncheon. There is something special almost every year, and plenty of regular family recipes to enjoy. One of these years, I may bring along some haggis.

BUSINESS MEETING PRESIDENT FRANCES

Thank you to our executive (President Frances Kaster and Secretary-Treasurer David Romphf) and the committees for organizing this event for the descendants of Alexander Ross and Margaret Noble. Four surviving branches were represented at this year's reunion.
