Jack Batten
Jack delivered a brief anecdote about his "double life" at Vic following the dinner. Jack left law school to become a broadcaster and a writer. He has written 30 books, including four crime novels about a lawyer turned detective. His most recent book, The Man Who Ran Faster Than Anyone: The Story of Tom Longboat, has won the Norma Fleck Award for non-fiction, the biggest prize in Canadian children's literature.
